(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 23 – European stocks burned some 183 billion euros in market capitalisation Friday after US President Donald Trump threatened to up tariffs on EU goods to 50% from June 1.
The worst performer was Milan (-1.94%), preceded by Paris (-1.65%), Frankfurt (-1.54%) and Madrid (-1.33%).
London was more cautious (-0.24%), protected from the measure thanks to the trade agreement signed last May 8 with Washington.
