Amb. Formosa meets Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine

(ANSA) – ROMA, 16 MAG – The Ambassador of Italy in Kiev, Carlo Formosa, met the Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine, Andriy Pyshnyy. At the centre of the talks was the strengthening of the bilateral dialogue, in light of the decisive role played by the institution in guaranteeing the macro-financial stability of the country in a context made particularly complex by the continuation of the conflict.
“At such a crucial time for Ukraine, the National Bank is proving to be an essential guardian of stability and institutional credibility. There is much to be learned from its experience in developing effective monetary and regulatory policy instruments in a wartime context,” said the Ambassador.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of the upcoming Ukraine Recovery Conference, scheduled to take place in Rome on 10 and 11 July, as a pivotal event in raising international awareness of the situation in Ukraine. Governor Pyshnyy expressed his intention to attend it personally, confirming the Bank’s commitment to promoting active dialogue with Italy and other international partners.
