The Simpsons is a famous American animated sitcom that began as shorts on The Tracey Ullman Show in 1987. However, in 1989, it became a half-hour series that was enjoyed by both adults and children to date. The show is set in the fictional town of Springfield and is the longest-running scripted series in TV history. Now, the series has left many viewers heartbroken by killing one of its characters permanently. 

The Simpsons kill one of its characters

It is a sad period in Springfield as they have lost one of their own. In the November 16, 2025, episode of The Simpsons, the fictional city’s First Church Organist, ‘Alice Glick’, suddenly passed away in the midst of a sermon. Earlier, the late Cloris Leachman was the voice behind the character. After this, Tress MacNeille took over and became the voice of the character for the past 34 years.
