A meeting in Brussels on Giuseppe Mazzini and Europe

(ANSA) – ROMA, 19 MAG – As part of the celebrations of Europe Day 2025, the Italian Institute of Culture in Brussels – under the High Patronage of the European Parliament and in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Brussels, the Foundation Insigniti dell’Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana (Omri) and Domus Mazziniana – is hosting, today at 7 p.m., the meeting ‘Mazzini and Europe’, 75 years after the Schuman Declaration, which marked the beginning of the process of European integration. The evening will be a moment of deepening and reflection on how Mazzini’s vision can still contribute today to the definition of a European Union, ready to face the challenges of the contemporary world. The event will begin with a message from the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, and a message also from Antonio Tajani, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
This will be followed by greetings and speeches by, among others, Federica Favi, Italian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium and Pierre Di Toro, Director of the Italian Cultural Institute.
Prefect Francesco Tagliente, President of the Fondazione Insigniti Omri, will moderate the event.
