Amb. Gori at the opening of the Novi Sad agricultural fair

(ANSA) – BELGRADO, 17 MAG – The Italian Ambassador to Serbia, Luca Gori, today attended the opening of the 92nd International Agriculture Fair in Novi Sad, at which our country is present this year as a Strategic Partner. The opening ceremony was also attended by the Serbian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Dragan Glamočić.
The Minister and Ambassador Gori visited the ‘Italian Pavilion’ set up by the Ice Office in Belgrade, directed by Antonio Ventresca, and met with exhibitors from Italy.Within the framework of Italy’s participation in the Fair, a seminar dedicated to the role of cooperatives and the sharing of advanced technologies in agriculture will be held on 20 May, organised by Ice in cooperation with the Agricultural Cooperative of Campiano, the Association of Cooperatives of Vojvodina, and Agriserbia – Ferrero.
“After participating as a Partner Country in 2023 and Friendly Country in 2024, Italy is also taking part in the Fair as a Strategic Partner for 2025. A role that testifies not only to Italy’s strong interest in the Serbian market, but also to its desire to continue to be a privileged ally in such a key sector as agritech,” said Ambassador Gori. “In 2024 the agri-food interchange between Italy and Serbia exceeded 642 million euro (+18%), with Italy being the leading Serbian supplier of pasta, rice, olive oil and wine. Now,’ added Gori, ‘we are focusing on agricultural mechanisation and sharing the winning Italian model of cooperatives in the year dedicated to them by the UN’.
