Four years later, I still get the chills whenever I listen to “Horrors in the Dark” by Sofi Gev. The singer-songwriter has an uncanny ability to create heart-wrenching pieces. However, her newest song, “Bright Light Shining”, feels much more hopeful and uplifting.
It is about reflection, change, and moving forward. Wrapped in a meticulous production that blends driving drums, lush guitars, and warm synths, the indie-pop track is tinged with nostalgia. It is indeed beautiful.
