The Royal Meteorological Society is delighted to announce Conference Week 2026 – a celebration of weather and climate science featuring two flagship events designed to bring our community together, support emerging talent, and showcase the latest research across the field.
Taking place at Exeter University in early July, Conference Week brings together the Early Career & Student Conference and the Annual Weather and Climate Conference, offering two complementary pathways for engagement depending on your career stage, interests, and professional goals.
Early Career & Student Conference 2026
A supportive space to grow, connect, and share your research | 6 – 8 July 2026
The week begins with the Early Career and Student Conference (ECSC), a dedicated event for students and early career researchers. Known for its friendly, low-pressure atmosphere, the ECSC offers an ideal environment to present your work, build confidence, and receive constructive feedback from peers at a similar stage in their careers.
Attendees can look forward to an engaging programme of oral presentations, posters, and plus plenty of opportunities to meet others, exchange ideas, and expand their network. The ECSC continues to play a vital role in nurturing the next generation of weather and climate scientists.
