In an act of immense compassion and patriotism, a Mumbai-based couple made a selfless gesture that’s striking a chord with the nation. The duo, who had long been saving up for a much-awaited foreign vacation, cancelled their trip and instead donated the saved amount to the bereaved family of war martyr, Murali Naik, who lost his life to Pakistani shelling, while serving on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.
A couple’s selfless tribute to the fallen soldier
A Mumbai-based couple, who have remained anonymous, reportedly came forward in support of the grieving family of the recently martyred soldier in his early 20s, Murali Naik from Kamraj Nagar. As reported by the Instagram page, We Are Yuvaa, the couple had been saving up for their dream trip abroad for quite some time. So far, they could collect Rs. 1,09,001 for the trip. However, in light of the tumultuous times during the last few days, amid the Indo-Pak conflict, it just didn’t feel right to roam around overseas while the country goes through this difficult situation. Instead, they decided to donate the money saved for their dream vacation to the grieving parents of Murali, as a gratitude to the sacrifices and risks of the armed forces guarding the nation.
