Dr Gaurav Singh, oncologist at Kalyan Singh Super Speciality Cancer Institute, said, “If a sore does not heal within two weeks or if unexplained pain or numbness in the mouth persists, one must get it checked without delay”. Prof Shally Mahajan said that tobacco use remains the leading cause of oral cancer.
