Bennett is his name.

He is fifty pounds and full of love.

On Monday, November 17th Bennett was brought into my work – He had been hit a by a car.

Bennett was carried in by one of my coworkers who rushed to assist him and make sure he was okay.

I knew that I wanted to help Bennett.. The following morning I found out that Bennett wasn’t doing the best.

It seems he could not walk. His paws would bend under and he couldn’t stand correctly.

The Doctors knew Bennett had some sort of spinal injury. Not to mention he had fluid and other junk in his stomach from scrounging for food

while being out on his own. He was slightly malnourished but I didn’t care. I was determined to help Bennett!

Happy dog running freely in a grassy field, enjoying the outdoors.

Everyone had pretty much given up on Bennett – with the injuries to his spinal cord it made it difficult to do surgery to remove the fluid from his stomach.

Bennett became really lethargic. I requested to just take Bennett home.

I want him to be surrounded by people who care. I want him to be out of the hospital. I want to help him and I feel that he was just depressed at the vet.

So with the doctors permission, I took Bennett home.

Thursday night, I remember it so well. I made Bennett a warm and cozy bed next to mine.

I got up and walked away, next thing I know I hear a loud thud!

When I walked around the corner Bennett was attempting to walk! Something the doctors thought would never happen!

I worked with Bennett constantly, carrying him if he could not walk and assisting him when he was trying.

As of Thanksgiving Yesterday, I am PROUD to say Bennett is Running! Not just walking but running.

We went for a checkup at the hospital and the doctors words were exactly this “Miracles Happen”

I believe that a hundred and fifty percent!

I love Bennett and I am forever thankful that he is in my life!
