(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 15 – Australian Kaden Groves, the 26-year-old Alpecin Deceuninck rider, won the sixth stage of the Giro d’Italia, Potenza-Naples, the longest at 227 km, in a sprint finish Thursday.
Danish Mad Pedersen retained the pink jersey.
The stage was ‘neutralised’ after a multiple crash on rain-slick asphalt about halfway along and all intermediate points were scrubbed, with just the final result counting. (ANSA).
