(ANSA) – ROME, MAR 5 – Pope Francis’s prognosis as he battles pneumonia in a Rome hospital is still guarded and he received the Ash Wednesday ashes marking the start of Lent Wednesday, the Vatican said.
“In consideration of the complexity of the clinical picture, the prognosis remains reserved”, says the evening bulletin on the conditions of the Pope hospitalized at Gemelli.
“This morning, in the private apartment located on the 10th floor, the Holy Father participated in the rite of blessing of the Sacred Ashes that were imposed on him by the celebrant, then he received the Eucharist”, it is reported.
“He then dedicated himself to some work activities”. (ANSA).
