In a recent interview with ANI, Madhuri Dixit opened up about the gender-based pay inequality issue that is still present in today’s world. Looking back at her journey in Bollywood, where she has worked with top Bollywood stars, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri shared that the imbalance in payments is universal. She highlighted that every profession has such indifference in payments. She mentioned everyone is struggling due to this ongoing issue. She later added that women should be paid more, or there should be a balance. She was quoted as saying:
“In any field, even in corporate businesses or anywhere, there’s always pay parity. Everybody is struggling for that, and everybody is trying to state the fact that women should be paid more, not more than the actor, but at least somewhere, you know, where it’s balanced.”
