(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 2 – A 27-year-old Colombian man was arrested Friday on suspicion of shooting dead his 32-year-old Colombian cohabiting partner at their home in Siena last August after a judge ruled the shot did not go off by accident as the man had claimed.
The man, Luis Fernando Porras Baloy, has been charged with aggravated voluntary homicide in shooting dead Ana Yuleisy Manyoma Casanova on August 10 last.
Judicial sources said the alleged murder is “aggravated by the fact that it was committed during the crime of domestic abuse and against a cohabiting person with whom the person had an emotional relationship”.
It is the latest in a long string of femicides in Italy. (ANSA).
