The story is about ‘Arif’, a young man who enters the world of film piracy. First Copy takes viewers back to the 1990s in Mumbai, a time when film piracy was spreading a lot. People used to record movies from theatres or original tapes and sell cheap copies on CDs, and cassettes. The story follows ‘Arif’ (played by Munawar Faruqui), a young boy with big dreams who enters this illegal trade to make money. What starts as a small hustle soon turns into a full-blown business, and Arif rises to become a key player in the piracy world. But with success comes danger. Soon, the police, actors, and criminals all get involved, leading to tense and dramatic moments. The trailer gives a strong ’90s feel with old streets, posters, and local shops.
