Salman Khan is one of the most popular actors in Bollywood. Just like the other Khans, Salman also has many fans. Amid the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, a tweet made by Salman is facing extreme backlash from netizens. The actor broke his silence on the Indo-Pak tensions after the countries announced a ceasefire. Immediately after the tweet, netizens strongly reacted to it, which led Salman to delete the tweet.
Salman Khan tweeted about the India-Pakistan ceasefire
For the uninitiated, the tensions between India and Pakistan started with the Pahalgam attack on April 22, 2025, which took 26 innocent lives. Following the attack, India gave a befitting response with Operation Sindoor on May 7, 2025. After fighting for four days, India and Pakistan announced an immediate ceasefire. However, shortly after the two countries agreed to a ceasefire, Bollywood actor, Salman Khan took to his X handle (formerly Twitter) on May 10, 2025 and expressed his relief over the ceasefire agreement. But, the tweet didn’t go well with the netizens and resulted in heavy criticism against the actor. The extreme public outrage made Salman delete the tweet. The now-deleted tweet can be read as:
“Thank god for the ceasefire….”
