Britons are not short on options when booking a UK holiday, but not every place offers the same range of amenities.
UK holiday spots have been ranked, with areas in Wales ranking as the worst places to visit if travelling as a family.
Experts at Go Compare looked at 55 locations based on attractions, hotel costs and children-friendly accommodation to find the best destinations with something for everyone.
Those looking for a family holiday may want to avoid Wales and Scotland, however.
Welsh cities Newport, Cardiff and Swansea were found to be the worst for families, followed by two Scottish destinations – Aberdeen and Glasgow.

The experts said: “Newport’s low score stems from a limited selection of family-friendly accommodations and activities, as well as soaring price hikes during the holidays.
“With only 72 family-suited hotels, families might struggle to find the right accommodation, especially during peak travel seasons when prices see a steep increase of 47 per cent.
“The Welsh city also offers just 20 family-friendly attractions, meaning limited options for keeping the kids entertained.”
While Newport is lacking in child-friendly activities, those who are travelling without children might not find this to be a problem.

The study showed the same downfalls for the Scottish spots, finding the destinations particularly difficult for Britons trying to keep everyone entertained.
It said: “Aberdeen and Glasgow also rank in the lowest five destinations on the family staycation index.
“Their limited family-friendly amenities and high seasonal price hikes can make planning a cost-effective family trip more challenging.
“Scotland experiences lower price hikes than Wales, but a large increase of 31 per cent can make all the difference when planning a family getaway.”
