(ANSA) – ROME, MAR 7 – Gonzalo Quesada has made six changes, one positional, for Sunday’s Six Nations clash against England at Twickenham from the Italy side that was routed 24-73 by France at the Olimpico two weeks ago.
It will be another tough test for the Azzurri, who lost 31-19 at Murrayfield in their opening game before beating Wales 22-15 in Rome ahead of the France mauling.
England beat France with the last move of the game, 26-25, three weeks ago.
It will be the 32nd match between England and Italy, who have never been victorious but have come close to achieving the feat on a couple of occasions.
As for the formation, star back Ange Capuozzo will return to wear the number 15 jersey with the return of Monty Ioane on the right wing, and the inclusion of Matt Gallagher, son of 1987 Kiwi world champ John, who will take to the field for the first time in the Six Nations, on the other wing.
The pair of centers formed by Brex and Menoncello is well-tested, while in the control room together with Paolo Garbisi there will be Stephen Varney who will collect his first seasonal appearance with the Italy jersey.
In the third row together with captain Lamaro and Sebastian Negri there will be Ross Vintcent with the number 8 jersey.
The pair formed by Ruzza and Niccolò Cannone are confirmed in the second row, while in the front line Riccioni returns, with Nicotera and Fischetti completing the department.
