Senior dogs have so much love to give. Sadly, countless gray-muzzled dogs are waiting in shelters across the country for a forever home, like Erica.
They spend longer in shelters which is hard on their bodies and mind. Shelter staff and volunteers do their best to spoil these sweet seniors. Staff at Summit County Animal Control placed Erica in their “Real Life Room”, which mimics a living room in a home.
Erica can relax in comfort on a bed and nap on soft blankets that your donations helped provide while she waits to be adopted.

Her caretakers shared with us, “She has also been enjoying the Caru treats, which have become one of her favorite rewards during enrichment time and quiet companionship sessions with staff and volunteers. These small comforts make a meaningful difference for a senior dog like Erica, helping reduce stress, promote relaxation, and give her a sense of security while she waits for her future family.”
Your donations are making the day of senior dogs, so thank you! Please join us in spoiling more seniors by donating essential supplies here.
