A Greek man named Stamatis Moraitis was told he had lung cancer and only six to nine months to live. He moved back to his home island, Ikaria, expecting the end. Years later, he returned to the U.S. and found that the doctors who diagnosed him were no longer alive. Reports say he lived decades longer and died in 2013, with records cited as age 98.
