Oklahoma Feral Cats Receive Warm Shelters Ahead of Arctic Blast

Brutal cold weather is impacting numerous states with freezing temperatures that are dangerous for cats to be outdoors without shelter. 

The National Weather Service states, “An arctic blast will bring frigid temperatures, gusty winds and dangerous wind chills.” They are advising people to get ready and prepare for the bitter cold.

Thanks to your generosity, feral cats in Oklahoma will have a safe, warm place to go when the cold weather hits. These cats prefer to live outdoors, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t have the proper shelter from harsh conditions. 

The donated cat shelters and warming blankets delivered to local rescues will be placed outdoors for feral cats to use as temperatures drop. “You can’t touch this” feral cats are already using them according to the rescues.

Pit Bull Ranch, one of the recipients, told us, “We do not know each cats’ background story, so it is important to us to make sure they all have a full life without fear, hunger, or pain. We can’t do it alone. Thank you again to The Great Good Foundation and the Animal Rescue site for donating kitty houses and warming blankets!”

Another recipient, Cimarron Valley Humane Society said, “They are light weight and easy to carry but still warm for the cats. This will help keep the poor feral cats warm during the upcoming weather.”
