Spectacular Freestyle Action at the LAAX Open 2026 FIS World Cup
LAAX OPEN, Europe’s most prestigious freestyle contest took place this weekend in Switzerland. As every four years, it was the last chance to qualify for the Olympic Games. 250 athletes competed in the disciplines Freeski Slopestyle, Snowboard Slopestyle and Snowboard Halfpipe.

Snowboard Halfpipe
- Men: Scotty James (AUS) – secured his fifth Laax Open halfpipe title with a near-perfect run.
- Women: Gaon Choi (KOR) – continued her strong season with the top podium spot.
Snowboard Slopestyle
- Men: Romain Allemand (FRA) – took the men’s title with an outstanding performance.
- Women: Kokomo Murase (JPN) – claimed the women’s slopestyle win.
Freeski Slopestyle
- Men: Birk Ruud (NOR) – continued his excellence with another victory in freeski slopestyle.
- Women: Eileen Gu (CHN) – topped the women’s freeski slopestyle field.
