Mediobanca 6-month profit up 8% to record 660 mn

(ANSA) – ROME, FEB 10 – Italy’s premier merchant bank Mediobanca on Monday posted six month profits up 8% to a record 660 million euros.
The Milanese investment bank, currently the subject of a takeover bid by Italy’s third largest bank Monte dei Paschi di Siena, posted earnings up 75% to 1.848 billion euros.
The bank raised its targets for 2026. (ANSA).
