(ANSA) – ROME, MAR 21 – Trade unions on Friday announced an eight-hour strike on Italian railways on May 6 over contract renewal talks.
Filt Cgil, Fit Cisl, Uiltrasporti proclaimed it jointly “for the renewal of the national collective bargaining agreement for railway activities, which expired on December 31, 2023″.
After sixteen months of negotiations – the unions explained – despite having made progress in the four meetings following the opening of the cooling-off procedures, there are still considerable distances to reach a contract adequate to our requests”. (ANSA).
