(ANSA) – ROME, MAR 30 – President Sergio Mattarella lamented the “unacceptable violence” in the Middle East in a message on Sunday to mark the end of Ramadan.
“It is painful to note that, once again this year, the observation of the month of Ramadan has been disturbed by unacceptable violence and enduring tensions, especially in the Middle East,” the head of State said.
“I add to sentiments of solidarity with the innocent civilians suffering the dramatic effects of the ongoing crises, my hope that the message of peace and brotherhood expressed by religions will be respected”. (ANSA).
