(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 29 – Alessio Tucci, an 18-year-old man who killed his 14-year-old ex girlfriend Martina Carbonaro by bashing her head in with stones near Naples earlier this week, was in love with her and was “overwhelmed” when he saw her chatting with another boy, his father Domenico told reporters on the latest femicide to shock Italy Thursday.
“I apologize to everyone, we never expected this, we are destroyed,” he said.
“My son is a good boy, Martina was like a daughter to me and my wife. I apologize to the whole world on behalf of my son and our family.
“Alessio wanted to find out who Martina’s new boyfriend was. He wasn’t obsessed with Martina, he was in love. They were growing up together. Seeing that she was chatting with someone else shocked him”. (ANSA).
