Meanwhile, the American actress has undergone a drastic transformation for the upcoming biopic of legendary boxer, Christy Martin.

Sydney Sweeney will next be seen in the biopic of famous female boxer, Christy Martin, who was elected to the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2020. For portraying Christy on-screen, Sydney had to undergo a drastic transformation. According to a report by Variety, she gained almost 30 pounds for her role in the upcoming biopic. Yes, you read that right. Earlier in an interview with W magazine, Sydney shared her routine, while stepping into the shoes of the legendary boxer, Christy. In her words:
“I came onboard to play Christy, and I had about three and a half months of training. I started eating. I weight-trained in the morning for an hour, kickboxed midday for about two hours, and then weight-trained again at night for an hour. My body was completely different. I didn’t fit in any of my clothes. I’m usually a size 23 in jeans, and I was wearing a size 27. It was crazy! I was like, Oh my god. But it was amazing: I was so strong, like crazy strong.”
