Judge Frank Caprio hailed from a big and hardworking family of immigrant parents
Judge Frank Caprio was born in 1936 into a hardworking Italian-American household. He carried forward the values instilled in him by his parents, Antonio, a milkman and fruit peddler, and Filomena, a homemaker. He was one of three brothers in a close-knit home, raised during the hardships of the Great Depression in Providence’s Federal Hill neighborhood. His brother, Antonio, was a teacher, and another brother, Joe, had been the executive producer of Caught in Providence before Frank retired in 2023.
