Karisma Kapoor and her children, Samaira and Kiaan, got involved in an intense legal battle after filing a lawsuit against their late father, Sunjay Kapur’s widow, Priya Sunjay Kapur. Sunjay Kapur, who was the chairman of Sona Comstar, had taken the business to the Rs. 30,000 crore mark. On June 12, 2025, Sunjay Kapur passed away shockingly after swallowing a bee, which led to a heart attack.
Priya Sunjay Kapur requests the HC to remove Mandhira Kapur from the estate battle
Samaira and Kiaan have filed a lawsuit, accusing Priya of forgery and demanding an equal share in Sunjay Kapur’s estate. Sunjay’s sister, Mandhira, who had a strained relationship with her brother before his death, supported Karisma and her kids. Amidst this, Priya has requested the Delhi HC for the removal of Mandhira from the estate battle, while accusing her of mischievously misleading the court and the case. The HC has recorded Mandhira Kapur’s appearance on September 10, 2025, even though she’s not a party to the legal suit. During the hearing, Priya was asked to make a list of all the movable and immovable assets of Sunjay Kapur.
