For the unversed, the Bollywood superstar, Amitabh, tied the knot with Jaya Bachchan, then Jaya Bhaduri, on June 3, 1973. The couple shares two children, Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan Nanda. Over the years, Big B has established himself both as an actor and a host. He has been successfully hosting the game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), for 25 years. On the latest episode of KBC 17, Big B had a lighthearted exchange with contestant, Asha Dhiryan, whom he addressed as an ‘adbhut mahila’. During a fun segment, Asha was asked to praise herself in 60 seconds. After she completed complimenting herself, she requested the Bollywood superstar to say something nice about his wife, Jaya. Giving a warm smile, Amitabh replied that they had been married for more than five decades, and if Jaya had managed to tolerate him for all those years, then that itself was the highest form of praise. In his words:
“Deviji humare byaah ko 52 years hogaye hain, baavan saal tak unhone humko jhela iss zyaada tareef kya hosakti hai.”
