Do you remember Alvin?
He was a passenger on the emergency Flight to Freedom that transported shelter animals out of overcrowded Los Angeles County shelters to the Pacific Northwest.
No one knows why this friendly young dog ended up in the shelter, but you helped him on his journey home.

He departed California and touched down in Washington where he was greeted by smiling faces from Animal Protection Society of Friday Harbor.
Alvin settled in quickly and it didn’t take long for him to steal the heart of an adopter.

They shared the great news that he has been adopted!
His patience paid off and he is living his best life. His new family calls him “Buoy” and shared, “We feel so lucky to have found him. He’s been an incredible adventure companion and cuddly best friend. He’s been great with all our friends’ kids and other dogs.”

He loves to go on adventures with his people and is always up for a cuddle.

This is the type of happy ending we wish for all the pet passengers on our Flights to Freedom. Sadly, there are thousands more still waiting in overcrowded shelters for their second chance to find love.

Join us in saving more lives by donating towards our next flight. Every dollar helps.
