British Rowing Transgender and Non-Binary Competition Eligibility Policy updated according to Supreme Court and IOC Policy

In line with our commitment to regularly review our Transgender and Non-Binary Competition Eligibility Policy, we have published an updated Policy on our website.

The Policy now gives due regard to recent developments in UK law and in international sporting policy, including the 2025 UK Supreme Court Judgement in the case of For Women Scotland Ltd v The Scottish Ministers, and the 2026 IOC Policy on the Protection of the Female (Women’s) Category in Olympic Sport and Guiding Considerations for International Federations and Sports Governing Bodies.

We are committed to making rowing as inclusive a sport as possible, and we will continue to develop policies and advice designed to support our community and clubs.
