In just a few weeks, Matt Damon will be seen in Christopher Nolan‘s The Odysseyin the titular role of Odysseus. Damon has already spoken about how gratifying it was to work on the project, which he described as possibly the last of its kind. The Odyssey was filmed entirely with IMAX cameras, utilizing Nolan’s favored practical effects and real locations. It is said to have cost Universal around $300 million to produce, and is poised to become the summer’s biggest hit. However, a decade ago, Damon starred in another period epic directed by a legend, but had a terrible time making it. The movie in question is now streaming for free in the United States, making for a fun double-bill with The Odyssey.
