Director’s Vision for ‘All-In’

I wrote and directed this film to show a side of Las Vegas that most people don’t see. For many people, Las Vegas is spectacle: bright lights, indulgence, chaos, and escape. But for locals, it’s home. Beneath the neon lights are real people navigating quiet struggles.

This story follows a middle-aged bartender searching for the father of a young girl abandoned in a casino lounge. At its core, the film explores family, loss, and the way gambling can fracture relationships. I was drawn to the idea that addiction doesn’t only affect the individual — it leaves emotional consequences for those closest to them, especially children.

Downtown Las Vegas was essential to capturing this tone. I wanted the grit and wear of the environment to reflect the emotional weight of the story. The slower pacing intentionally contrasts the city’s party reputation, highlighting the quieter rhythm of local life.

Ultimately, this film is about responsibility and compassion — about what happens when one person steps up in a moment where another fails. I hope audiences leave seeing Las Vegas not just as a place of chance, but as a community of people living with very real stakes.
