Beloved & Iconic Horse “Endo the Blind” Passes Away

Endo the Blind holds multiple records and the hearts of people around the world. He was an inspiration to many, and all were heartbroken to hear he has passed away.

The Appaloosa gelding lost his eyes when he was eight years old due to Equine Recurrent Uveitis. However, that didn’t hold him and his devoted mom, Morgan, back. The two formed an unbreakable bond and were able to compete and win at the highest levels.

Through verbal and non-verbal cues, Endo performed for his fans across the U.S. and Canada. He became an icon in the equine world doing everything a horse with sight could do and more.

Morgan shared that his health recently took a turn for the worse and he was omitted to a local animal hospital for intensive care. An examination and tests revealed he was suffering from edema, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and his immune system was starting to attack his kidneys.

After spending weeks trying to reduce his pain and make him comfortable, his health continued to decline. The difficult decision was made to end his suffering, and he crossed the Rainbow Bridge in early March.

Morgan is heartbroken as she has had Endo since he was a colt and the two have been through so much together over the past 25 years. She will never forget the lessons she has learned or her beloved pal. She took to Facebook to share a five-minute video telling their story to honor Endo.

She wrote, “Thank you for loving him along with me.” He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. RIP, Endo.
