The Cabinet cleared a ₹1,500 crore scheme under the National Critical Mineral Mission to boost recycling of e-waste and battery scrap. Running till FY31, it targets 270 KT capacity, ₹8,000 crore investment, 70,000 jobs, and stronger supply chains for EVs and renewables.
