(ANSA) – ROME, JUN 19 – Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti spoke at the Eurogroup meeting Thursday to ask to intervene on the Stability Pact and “update” the “rules to the emergency we are experiencing to avoid them seeming stupid and senseless”, the Italian economy ministry said.
“It is essential to find a solution”, he stated in particular with regard to defense spending and the different treatment between countries under excessive deficit procedure and not.
