My Joey came to me from a wild stray momma cat that lives in our neighborhood. I have been feeding this momma cat (named momma for having feral kittens once every year) the past five years.
One of her offspring from 5 years ago lives on my porch who I feed and care for but is not able to live inside. He is so loving and not feral with me. Momma has had a litter every year since until last year when the neighbor caught her and had her spayed!

Kitten population on our neighborhood has stopped! But 2 years ago as I cared for and feed momma and she was pregnant again I watched her and timed her to when she would birth! When the time came I hoped she would have them in my yard this time so I could care for them, but didn’t happen! So I prayed that one day she would bring them to me. Six weeks later early one Sunday morning they showed up on my porch!

When we opened the door they all scattered except one. So I picked him up and brought him in. He never fought or scratched to get away like a wild cat! he was calm, docile, and loving and tiny!
He looked like a koala bear so I named him Joey and he has been in ever since. He has been a blessing!
He loves everyone and very social! He loves to play, cuddle, and lay in your lap! Recently my husband had a stroke (and not a cat person) and he lost his dog buddy, Now Joey has been even more attached to him and brighten up his world! He loves hanging out with my husband, play like a dog, sleeping with him and being by his side as to say “we miss Peewee(the dog we lost) But I am here for you!”
Joey is the love of my life and we are so blessed to have him in our life at this time of our life! Momma left us with a Blessing!
