Following the disastrous box office performance of Greenland 2: Migration, starGerard Butler can take solace in the sudden success of his overlooked thriller Copshop on streaming. Copshop was released theatrically in 2021, but it flopped at the box office despite earning positive reviews. The movie was essentially set in a single location, and followed a hitman who gets himself incarcerated in the same jail as the man he’s pursuing. Copshop was directed by Joe Carnahan, who is currently experiencing major streaming success with his new film, The Rip. Starring Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, The Rip opened to positive reviews and topped the Netflix charts for over two weeks.
