(ANSA) – ROME, SEP 4 – Hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters blocked trains at Pisa railway station on Thursday.
They broke away from a march of approximately 1,500 protesters who had taken to the streets to support the Global Sumud Flotilla initiative for Gaza.
The march peacefully passed through the city center until reaching the station.
Upon reaching the square, hundreds of protesters entered the station, occupying the first platform.
Train traffic is currently halted.
Outside, the protests by other trains continue.
