As per Her Zindagi, talking about Amitabh Bachchan, Ramola once said that she and Big B had a true friendship in the 1960s before he went on to become an actor. She also revealed that Amitabh always had a yearning for films, but back then it was not that prominent. She said:
“It was pure friendship. This was in the 1960s before he had thought of joining the films. I think he had a secret yearning for films, but it was not prominent then.”
