Sofiya Qureshi’s family who served the nation

Sofiya, a resident of Vadodara, Gujarat, comes from a family who hold a long-time legacy to serve the nation. According to The Times Of India report, Sofiya’s grandfather served in the Religious Teacher (RT) cadre in the Indian Army, while her dad, Taj Mohammad Qureshi, fought in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Sofiya’s father was also part of the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers. Sofiya’s great-grandfather was part of the historic 1857 revolt and also served in the British Indian Army. As per The New Indian Express report, Sofiya’s brother revealed that his other sister, Saina Qureshi, was also passionate about joining the Indian Army, but couldn’t qualify for the test because of her height.
