(ANSA) – ROME, SEP 18 – Premier Giorgia Meloni expressed satisfaction on Thursday after her government’s constitutional reform of the judiciary, including the separation of the career paths of prosecutors and judges so they can no longer switch between the two roles, won final approval from the Lower House on Thursday to complete its third reading in parliament.
“We are advancing on the path of justice reform with the approval of the third reading in the Lower House,” Meloni said via social media.
“We will continue to work to give Italy and Italians an increasingly efficient and transparent justice system.
“As we await final approval from the Senate, we move forward with determination to deliver to the nation a historic reform that has been awaited for years.”. (ANSA).
