(ANSA) – ROME, MAR 5 – Italy’s metalworking trade unions FIM CISL, FIOM CGIL and UILM UIL on Wednesday announced an eight-hour national strike on March 28 and protests across Italian regions after unsatisfactory talks with employers in November.
Unions are demanding to resume negotiations with the sector’s business association Assistal and the Italian federation of metalworking companies Federmeccanica to renew their national contract.
The contract, which expired at the end of June 2024, concerns some 1.5 million workers. (ANSA).
