Milan bourse up, bond spread down

(ANSA) – ROME, APR 14 – The Milan stock exchange’s FTSE Mib index gained 1.9% in early trading on Monday with the international money markets boosted by the pause in US tariffs on electronic goods.
French-Italian semiconductor company STMicroelectronics was among the strong performers, with its shares up 3.79%.
The spread between Italy’s 10-year BTP bond and the German Bund, meanwhile, dropped to 119.1 basis points from 124.5 at Friday’s closing after S&P upgraded Italy’s credit rating from BBB to BBB+.
The yield on the BTP dropped to 3.75% from 3.8% on Friday.
