Arguably one of the best prospects in the 2028 class will be reportedly visiting Michigan State later this month.
Jason Killop of On3 is reporting that Michigan State is set to host five-star wide receiver Deandre Bidden of Harper Woods, Mich. for an unofficial visit in late March. According to Killop, Bidden will visit Michigan State on March 28.
Bidden is ranked as the No. 2 wide receiver and No. 5 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2028 class. He is also listed as the No. 1 player from Michigan in the class.
Bidden was quoted telling Killop that he “would like to see how their offense has changed and what the new head coach is like.” Michigan State extended Bidden an offer nearly two years ago in May 2024 and has clearly been pursuing him across multiple coaching staffs.
Outside of his offer from Michigan State, Bidden also holds offers from nearly 30 schools, according to 247Sports. Other notable schools to offer him includes Alabama, Auburn, Boston College, Illinois, Colorado, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Louisville, Miami (FL), Mississippi State, Missouri, Ohio State, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, USC, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin.
Bidden is the second five-star prospect in the 2028 class to reportedly set up an unofficial visit to Michigan State for the spring, with the other being edge rusher Kameron McGee. It’s a positive sign to see the Spartans attracting talents of this level to campus and show off the new regime under Pat Fitzgerald. It’ll obviously take incredible efforts to land prospects of this nature, but you have to start somewhere and this is a great start.
