(ANSA) – ROME, SEP 5 – A nationwide strike of Italian railway workers called by the Usb, Sgb and PDM/PDB unions was causing disruption for passengers on Friday, with some services delayed and some others cancelled outright.
Trenitalia advised passengers to check in advance to see if their train was running before going to the station. In Naples, for example, three high-speed services to Milan and a regional service to Rome was among those cancelled.
The strike started on Thursday evening and is set to continue until 18:00 on Friday. (ANSA).
