Oregon Ducks land commitment from top-100 player out of Texas

Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks continue to find great success on the recruiting trail, particularly in the state of Texas.

On Friday evening, Oregon landed a commitment from 4-star defensive lineman Zane Rowe, one of the top players from the Lone Star state in the 2027 class. Standing at 6-foot-5, 265 pounds, Rowe is rated by 247Sports as the No. 93 player in the class, and the No. 9 DL.

He committed to Oregon over the likes of the Washington Huskies, Oklahoma Sooners, and North Carolina Tar Heels.

For a long while, Rowe has been considered a likely commit for the Huskies, but after taking a visit to Eugene earlier this week, Rowe decided to shut things down and commit to the Ducks. With the addition of Rowe, Oregon now has the No. 8 class in the 2027 cycle, with six commitments.

Rowe is the second player from the state of Texas, alongside 4-star RB CaDarius McMiller, continuing Oregon’s strong pipeline out of the state over the past few years.
