(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 29 – The government is ready to bring to Italy the tenth and sole surviving child of a Gaza doctor who lost her other nine children in an Israeli air strike, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said Thursday.
From Gaza to Italy “we have already brought 130 children, a total of 170 people and we are trying to bring to Italy the child of the doctor who lost nine children”, little Adam, the only surviving child of the pediatrician Alaa Al-Najjar, said Tajani, who is also dputy premier.
“We are seeing if the conditions are there”: said Tajani in response to a question about the criticisms of Chiara Appendino of the 5 Star Movement who called the deputy prime minister ‘Pontius Pilate’.
“We cannot speculate on the suffering of peoples. We are concerned with saving human lives, not with making declarations and propaganda”. (ANSA).
