Sarah Langslow qualifies as World Rowing umpire

Congratulations to Sarah Langslow, a member of Cambridge University BC and Cambridge ‘99s RC, who qualified as a World Rowing umpire in Amsterdam last year. Sarah qualified as a British Rowing umpire in 2017 and is Race Committee Chair of both the Pairs Head of the River and Molesey Regatta, and a member of the Boat Race Umpiring Panel.

Ahead of the international season, 11 Brits have also been selected to umpire at World or European Rowing events this year. British Rowing is delighted that the following umpires have been chosen to represent GBR on the juries at these prestigious events:

Jen Thomson and Phil Clements – World Rowing Indoor Championships (virtual) from 21-28 February

 Joanna Cotgrove – European Rowing Under 19 Championships in Brandenburg, Germany from 23-24 May

 Zoe Hayes – World Rowing Cup II, Plovdiv in Bulgaria from 12-14 June

 Paddy Ibbotson – World Rowing Cup III in Lucerne, Switzerland from 26-28 June

Claire McIntosh – World Rowing Under 23 Championships in Duisburg, Germany 23-26 July

Adrian Champion – European Rowing Championships in Varese, Italy from 30 July – 2 August

Richard Dennis – World Rowing Senior Championships in Amsterdam, Netherlands from 24-30 August

Sir Matthew Pinsent – European Rowing Under 23 Championships in Kruswica, Poland from 5-6 September

Judith Packer – World Rowing Masters Regatta in Bled, Slovenia from 9-13 September

Gary Bain – Beach Sprint Finals in Qingdao, China from 18-21 October
